The Botanical Edit

This piece is inspired by the patterns I see in my own natural surroundings. Using a wide range of media, I drew out an assortment of flowers, roots, and leaves from my immediate environment and digitally combined them along with complementary geometrical elements to create a digital repeat pattern print. As an extension to this project, I created a garment with my print to experiment with its application in the real world. I digitally printed my design onto a heavy variant of double georgette fabric and designed a crop-top and high-wasted flared pant set.
