Reverance

The architecture of Jain temples is often understood to be a technical and mathematical marvel. The highly intricate designs carved into marble interiors are perfectly geometrical and symmetrical but were created centuries ago without any sophisticated tools or technology, and this fascinates me. Borrowing elements from the traditional carvings I saw on the ceiling panels of the temples I visited on a trip to Rajasthan, I have created an original composition to recreate a ceiling architectural pattern. I have stayed true to the same principles of geometry by making the design highly technical and precise.
